A SKY LOUNGE FOR SINNERS AND SAINTS

THE PROJECT

Coming up with the interiors for a new mountain hut at the mountain station of the Kieserlbahn cable car in Großarl.

STARTING POINT

Cool hoteliers and entrepreneurs from Großarl came together to do their own thing: build and manage two new eating venues. That’s when they sent us an SOS to reimagine everything and save them from just another two pretty huts (booooooooring!).

SOLUTION

Two huts, one on top of the other? Let’s revamp the interiors and make them into heaven and hell – canonically one on top of the other, but it’s up to you to decide which is which. A bit of a curve ball for the architects, but they rolled with the punches. (Just as well, or we’d have sent them to heaven, where all the boring people are.)
